Sidebar
The sidebar is the list of places down the side of the app, and in the tab bar and More on a phone. You arrange it. It holds:
- the built-in places, such as Now, Chat, Projects, Contacts, Drive and Settings;
- the screens of any module you have installed;
- saved views, such as one list of Contacts, a project or a Flow.
You can put entries in an order, put them in groups, and hide the ones you do not use. Settings can never be hidden, so you can always undo what you did.
Arrange it
Open Settings, then Sidebar. Each place has Up, Down and More. On a computer you can also drag a place onto another to put it before that one. More hides or shows a place, moves it to Main, More or Bottom, or into a group you name. Under Add are the places and module screens that are not in the sidebar yet.
On a page you want to keep close, such as a list of Contacts or one saved view of it, choose Add to sidebar.
Or ask your assistant: "put Documents in my sidebar". It finds the place or module screen with that name and adds it. If more than one matches, it asks which.
Yours and the team's
The Space's owner or an admin sets the default for a Space: choose The team's at the top of the editor (it only shows for them). Everyone in the Space starts from it. Each person's own arrangement sits on top: your order, your groups and what you hid are yours. When an admin adds something to the default later, it reaches you too, in the place the admin put it.
Your own list is kept on the team's server, one per person, so it is the same on every device you use. It is not set per device.
If you ask your assistant to change the team's sidebar, it asks first: the change waits for an owner's or admin's yes. Your assistant can change your own list at once.
When you install a module that has screens, Vyre offers to add them to the sidebar for you, or for the team if you are an owner or admin. A module's screen opens in the main pane (in a browser, or the Mac and Windows apps) or in a new window (on a phone).
Where it is kept
On a server you own, the two lists are also ordinary settings, sidebar.default (the team's) and sidebar.mine (yours). With nothing stored, the sidebar is the built-in places in their usual order.
